Welcome Researchers!
A new function was added to the OCUTG in April 2005 that enables you to get an
overview of the total number of agreements in a range of categories. Please see
the report index to access the reports.
If you have questions about the data, please contact the CUCC by email: cuccDirector@ocutg.on.ca
or phone the Interim Director of the CUCC, Dr. Maureen Callahan, 416 979 2165 ext 254.
As a researcher you may be exploring the numbers and types of collaborative agreements
that have been developed by Ontario's colleges and universities to create pathways
for students who want to move from one post-secondary sector to the other. The
pathways listed in this interactive guide, move from college to university or
from university to college, and the partnering institutions are, identified in
the agreements as the "sending"
and "receiving" institutions
to designate the direction of the students' transfer.
Many Ontario students want to gain the advantages of combining college and university
study, to experience the best of both worlds. The practical training and education
of a college program may be enhanced by the theoretical learning found through
a university degree. Or students who already have a university degree often seek
the advantages of the applied learning that comes through college programmes.
You may be interested in exploring the agreements by their classification. The five types of agreements are more fully defined in the Glossary.
To search any of these types of agreements
- Use the Agreement Type search
- From the drop-down boxes, select Agreement Category: "All" and make your own selection for the Agreement Type.
A university search, where you specify a university OR a particular university discipline, will yield all agreements to which the university is a partner as Receiving Institution or Sending Institution.
A college search, where you specify a college in the dropdown box or you select a , will yield all agreements to which the college is a partner as Receiving Institution or Sending Institution.
A keyword search is useful if you are looking for an agreement that contains a particular word.
The listed agreements also provide the contact information for people at the college or university who can tell you more about the collaborative arrangements and transfer credit. To be absolutely certain about transfer possibilities, check with the institutions involved.
NOTE: The agreement information in this database is provided by the Receiving Institutions. The absence of an agreement in the results does not necessarily mean that transfer is unavailable. It simply indicates that no formal agreement or Direct Entry Programme policy has been established or, if a new agreement is in place, it has not yet been included in the database. Receiving institutions may review individual situations on request, and credit may ultimately be granted.
