    1. How does an agreement get entered into the Guide?
The project team relies on contacts in each institution who have been appointed by the president/executive head to collect, verify and post agreements to the website, based on the criteria and outline we provide, who will serve as liaison with the project team.
    2. When there are partners, whose responsibility is it to enter the agreement and keep it updated?
The receiving institution posts the agreement; in cases where all partners are receiving institutions within the agreement, the university is assigned this task.
    3. What is in the Database?
      The database contains:
      • information about transfer agreements and collaborative programs between Ontario's Colleges of Applied Arts and Technology and the Ontario Universities
      • transfer policies and practices of all institutions
      • institutional contacts for further information.
    4. Are all agreements incuded in the guide?
We cannot guarantee that all agreements are included. The absence of information about a particular institution, program or area of study or that program's transfer potential at a particular receiving institution, does not necessarily mean that transfer is unavailable. It simply indicates that no formal agreement has been established or, if a new agreement is in place, the information has not been posted to the transfer guide. It is incumbent on the user of the guide to check with the institutions involved to be absolutely certain about transfer possibilities.
    5. How do we know an agreement in the Guide is valid?
Contacts will ensure that the agreements are institutionally supported; i.e. posting to the Guide implies institutional support. Further, institutional partners to an agreement are required to concur on the agreement texts which are posted. All partners must approve the agreement text for a collaborative program and articulation arrangement before the agreement is posted to the website. The exception to this principle is a university Direct Entry Programme that is based on a general policy of admission to a faculty or division that states the specific credit transfer for graduates of specified college diploma programmes who meet specified admission criteria.

It is incumbent on the user of the guide to check with the institutions involved to be absolutely certain about transfer possibilities.
    6. Does the Guide include information about transferring from one college to another college or one university to another university?
The Guide does not contain course to course transfer information, nor does it contain information about university to university or college to college transfer. The database also does not contain information about out-of-province agreements. Please refer to the individual institutional websites for more information on agreements with out-of-province institutions.
    7. Does the Guide include information about credit transfer for any of the applied degrees offered by the colleges?
    8. Does an agreement guarantee admission to the destination program for a student who has the prerequisites and meets the academic standards stated in the agreement or policy?
No, admission to a postsecondary institution or program is not guaranteed; it is generally on a competitive bases. Students should contact the Admissions Office of the receiving institution for details about transferability related to their particular circumstances.
